California Service Corps Mobilizes to Federal Disaster Recovery Centers
What you need to know: California Service Corps swiftly deploys to federal Disaster Recovery Centers to support people affected by the Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Today, California Volunteers, Office of the Governor deployed California Service Corps members to newly established federal Disaster Recovery Centers across the Los Angeles region. These vital centers are now operational, offering critical support to individuals impacted by recent disasters.
At these sites, residents can access essential information about available aid, receive guidance to navigate the recovery process, apply for assistance at DisasterAssistance.gov and get their questions answered and help with the applications. These efforts are a part of the statewide coordinated response.
“To those impacted by these devastating fires — you are not alone. To those who are safe and can help, we need you,” said GO-Serve Director and California Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday.
This swift deployment underscores California’s commitment to community resilience and ensuring that those affected by disasters have the resources and support needed to rebuild their lives. For more information about volunteer efforts, visit CaliforniansForAll.ca.gov.
