Grant Description
The California Volunteers Place-Based Initiative Funding supports a coalition of AmeriCorps State programs established to strengthen Stockton and the Central Valley. The coalition works alongside a convening organization to achieve deeper community impact through three key criteria: (1) Leveraging co-investment partnerships in AmeriCorps grant resources and evidence-based service solutions, (2) Engaging local community citizens as service members and agents of change, and (3) Coordinating multiple national service interventions to provide comprehensive wraparound educational support for South Stockton students.
This funding opportunity provides state matching funds to currently funded AmeriCorps operating grants that are part of the California Volunteers Place-Based Initiative.
