Neighbor Check-ins
We are stronger when we work together! During an emergency or when a disaster strikes, you can make a difference by checking on vulnerable neighbors to ensure they’re safe.
BE PREPARED
Have a plan for your household, including pets, in case your neighborhood is affected by an emergency or disaster.
BE SAFE!
Ensure the safety of your family first, then check on neighbors.
CHECK ON NEIGHBORS
Call, text or visit neighbors. Older adults, especially those who live alone, and those with disabilities or medical conditions are most at risk during emergencies and disasters.
LEND A HAND
Ask how you can help. Offer to pick up groceries, medication, and other necessities your neighbor may need. If needed, make sure they have a way to evacuate.
FIND LOCAL SERVICES
Call 211 or your county social services office to get information.
